Dana Schwartz

A five minute read by Kat M. Lui, LAc

Our friendship with Dana Schwartz has evolved over many paddle-boarding sessions, hikes, and teas. She and her husband David Watts have been welcoming from the get-go, as they were some of the first people we met when Dr. Andy Kelch and I moved to Bend.

I’ve noticed that whenever I mention Dana to others, their faces light up, and they smile ‘Oh yes, Dana! We love her!”

Dana brings light and care wherever she goes. It’s apparent in how she makes eye contact with you, how she listens, the questions she asks, and the thoughtful responses she gives. She is someone we admire and respect. And we are thrilled that she has chosen to join our team at Wise Mountain Medicine.

Her bio is below. If you’d like to meet Dana, book a free 15 minute discover call, and ask which of her offerings best fit your needs.

Dana Schwartz, MSOM, LAc

Dana is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and massage therapist with over two decades of experience in integrative, mind-body medicine. Though raised in a family of physicians, Dana chose to pursue medicine rooted in nature's wisdom, skillfully blending traditional healing practices with modern scientific understanding.

With expertise in nervous system regulation, Dana helps patients address stress, anxiety, trauma, and emotional imbalances. She specializes in women's health with particular focus on perimenopause, menopause, and the unique needs of women in their later years.

Dana is passionate about cosmetic acupuncture, facial sculpting, and Aculift microneedling—offering natural, chemical-free alternatives that work with your body's own healing mechanisms. Her therapies gently stimulate authentic collagen production and skin renewal without the risks of harsh treatments or artificial fillers. As a licensed medical practitioner, Dana provides the safety and expertise that sets her apart from typical spa technicians. Her gentle touch and personalized treatment plans honor your natural beauty while delivering subtle, refined results that enhance rather than alter your appearance.

Her comprehensive practice includes treatment for:

  • Anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, and stress management

  • Back and neck pain, disc injuries, and orthopedic rehabilitation

  • Neurological and gastrointestinal conditions

  • Sleep disorders and psycho-spiritual imbalances

Her integrated treatment approach may incorporate:

  • Acupuncture and moxibustion

  • Cupping, tuina, and shiatsu massage

  • Chinese herbal medicine

  • Nutritional therapy and food-as-medicine principles

  • Breathwork, qigong, and gentle detoxification programs

Dana considers it a privilege to participate in each patient's healing journey, providing compassionate care that restores balance, vitality, and natural radiance—both inside and out.

Education

Dana studied Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine at Emperors College of Oriental Medicine in Santa Monica, and Therapeutic massage at the Swedish Institute in New York City; this combination of 6 years of education provided an integral vision of the holistic body and its many layers. During this time she became certified as a yoga instructor learning more about the subtle bodies – the energetic, emotional, and spiritual layers. She is certified as an Aroma touch Instructor, and has led many courses in the safe and effective use of essential oils.

Currently Dana is in a mentorship as an end of life Midwife, in honor of the beauty that is life.
